Florida Jurors Charge 3 With Murder After String of Violent Dunkin' Donuts Robberies

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A Florida grand jury has formally charged three suspects in a string of violent robberies at Dunkin' Donuts stores with murder.

On Wednesday, 19-year-old James Herard and 20-year-old Tharod Bell were indicted for murder in the fatal shooting of a man at a Dunkin' Donuts on Thanksgiving. Herard, Bell and a third suspect, 18-year-old Charles Faustin, also were indicted for murder in a Nov. 14 shooting death.

Prosecutors say it's too early to tell if they will seek the death penalty.

The suspects have all been in jail since early December when they were arrested. Authorities have also linked them to robberies in Sunrise, Delray Beach and Pompano Beach.
