October 6, 2007

WINTER PARK

A convict with a history of dealing cocaine in Winter Park faces a murder charge in a fatal shooting last year, authorities said.

Held in an unrelated case, Henry Lee Coleman, 24, was arrested Friday at the Orange County Jail by Winter Park police on charges of shooting Gregory Bush, 38, on Sept. 15, 2006, records show.

Information was not available about the cause of the 3:34 a.m. shooting at the corner of Lyman and Capen avenues.

Coleman's criminal record dates to at least 1995, when, at age 11, he was arrested once in a burglary and once in a grand theft, records show.

In 2000, he served 13 months in prison on a cocaine conviction. In 2003, he served 18 months after being convicted for dealing the drug.

Henry Pierson Curtis, Ludmilla Lelis, Jean Patteson, Luis Zaragoza, Rich McKay, Sandra Pedicini and Elaine Aradillas of the Sentinel staff contributed to this report.
