Jury selection continued Thursday in the case of Michael Hernandez, accused of killing a classmate at Southwood Middle School four years ago. Attorneys for both sides were able to eliminate more than 25 potential jurors because they had heard about the case in the media, had decided Hernandez was guilty or faced a scheduling conflict that would prevent them from attending the trial.
Circuit Judge John Schlesinger also prohibited the media from taking pictures or video of potential jurors and sealed the list of their names. The case will continue Monday.
