Ecuador's government is asking for the return of a man on Florida's death row.
Ecuadorean officials will hold a news conference Monday in Miami to ask for Nelson Serrano's return. They say Florida law enforcement officers violated the South American country's sovereignty to get Serrano extradited to the United States.
Serrano was sentenced to death in 2007 for fatally shooting four people in a Polk County factory a decade earlier over a business relationship gone sour.
Serrano was arrested in Ecuador in 2002. At the time, he held both Ecuadorean and U.S. passports.
Ecuador has no death penalty and will not extradite fugitives who face the punishment in other countries.
